Chorale Choir (grades 4-6)

Mondays   4:15 - 6:00 PM, USU Fine Arts Center Rooms 220 & 222

Non-auditioned, intermediate level choir.
Students receive training in vocal technique through the study of folk songs, classical, and contemporary music. They also learn sight-singing and simple part singing. Chorale Choir accepts about 6 performance opportunities per year.

Each class also includes a block of Orff-Schulwerk training and improvisation time, which incorporates instruments, solfege, and movement.           

Director may choose to move students from Chorale to Cantate as the season starts and voices are heard.  If a student is moved parents will be notified.


Concert Attire

Girls:
The choir issues a red performance shirt to each female singer in Chorale Choir. It must be returned at the end of the season. Each singer provides a black skirt or black dress pants, black socks or black opaque tights, and black shoes. No conspicuous jewelry.

Boys: Each boy in Chorale Choir needs to provide black dress pants, black socks, and black shoes along with a white long sleeve dress shirt. A red choir tie will be provided.
