Meet our Camp Directors

Janice Barlow

Director for Summer Camps ages 8 - 12
Janice Barlow holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a K-6 Music endorsement from Utah State University. She also has her level 1 Orff-Schulwerk Training from Orff-Schulwerk in the Mountains. Janice has been an elementary music teacher for over 10 years and currently teaches as a BTS Arts Music Educator at Lincoln Elementary.

Janice grew up in a house filled with music and began her musical journey with piano lessons at a young age. She branched out and learned to play the flute, tuba, and also participated in various choirs and drama productions. Janice loves making music, but her passion is sharing her love of music with others through teaching. She enjoys creatively intertwining math, science, language arts, and social studies into creative music lessons. As she teaches, she encourages students’ creativity, helps build self-confidence and unity as a class. It is always an adventure when you step into her classroom.

Outside of teaching, Janice loves spending time in her garden, crafting, reading, and spending time with her family and grandchildren playing games and camping.
